Like most townhouses in London the challenge is to open up the small rooms into larger open living spaces, and also where possible engage with the private garden spaces.
On this project we developed a two storey glass intervention to the rear which traversed from garden level down to Lower Ground level. This dramatically improved connection with nature and maximised daylight into the deep plan.
An incredibly intricate bronze and glass extension required an equally precise technical drawing package to deliver. We also overcame regulatory challenges relating to fire containment to achieve the open plan layout.
